Our Studio

At the heart of the pink city, lies Gul - an interactive, open studio for shopping and workshops.
It is a reflection of what we create - contemporary products rooted in local artisanal forms. Come and explore this experimental space that lets you immerse in Indian culture and art and experience the fruits of labour of the #WomenOfGul

In our studio, we have incorporated arches and pillars that draw inspiration from the architecture of Rajasthan while incorporating a modern twist. We have taken an abstract approach to the maximalist designs that are inherent in our heritage, resulting in a unique and contemporary aesthetic.

Studio Artwork

Pichhwai, a beautiful art form originating from Nathdwara in Rajasthan, derives its name from the practice of hanging the paintings from the back.

The Pichhwai art showcased at the Gul Studio is a mesmerising portrayal of cows and Gopis (female companions of Lord Krishna). The vibrant colours and intricate designs of these artworks never fail to leave visitors in awe. Undoubtedly, it serves as the central attraction of our studio. While it brings joy to art enthusiasts, it also serves as a source of inspiration for us, symbolising the eternal love and friendship among our very own Gopis of Gul.

Workshop Space

Our open studio space is a haven for learning workshops that shed a light on the traditional practices of handicrafts, all the while, also providing an optimal environment to unleash your creativity. Sunlight streams through the windows, infusing the space with a warm and inviting glow under the bamboo shed, while the gentle breeze that circulates keeps the atmosphere fresh and invigorating. These natural elements combine to create a perfect setting that inspires and activates your artistic potential.
